Please can you complete the ‘What Coaches Want’ survey, being carried out by Leap (Bucks County Sports Partnership), to help tailor the opportunities made available in future and improve the service to coaches across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes in 2017.

“We believe that it is important for coaches to help shape our coach education programme.
Over the last 12 months Leap have been working hard to support and develop coaches, volunteers and leaders working within clubs and organisations across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes by providing a needs-led Coach Education Programme. The workforce within our community are truly the heart beat of local sport and we thank you for the time you have given up this past year to provide continued opportunity for people to become or remain active.
But we want to improve the support we offer our coaches, volunteers and leaders in 2017 and you can play your role in influencing us so we would like to hear from you. The ‘What Coaches Want’ survey is pivotal in shaping our 2017 Coach Education Programme. If you don’t believe us please read on…
Of the 88 coaches completing the survey last year 48.8% wanted to see more training made available to develop the softer skills of coaches i.e. communication, confidence, building relationships.
Delivered a female only workshops around building confidence and a positive mind-set.
Delivered 2 workshops on supporting coaches to understand behaviour change and how they can impact their participants positively.
Delivered a workshop on building productive coach-athlete relationships.
Of the 88 coaches completing the survey last year 46.5% of coaches wanted to see more training made available to develop coaches working with talented athletes.
Delivered 2 workshops specifically on the sociology and psychology of working with talented athletes.
Delivered 2 of the Sports Coach UK Talent Foundation Series workshops specifically for coaches working in sporting talent pathways.
The survey will be open for 4 weeks to submit a response and will close on Friday 30th September at midday. It will only take 5 minutes to complete and we value the input from every coaches, volunteer and leader as it does have a lasting impact on the support and development of the workforce in our county.”
